  Abstract

Conductive fabrics are important for enhancing the value and applicability of the textiles. Here, conductive polyester fabric was produced through synthesis of nickel nanoparticles (NPs) on the copper sensitized fabric through electroless plating method. The fabric was first exhausted at boiling point to statistically optimize the conditions and then sono-treated in the same conditions in the ultrasound bath. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) were used to validate the efficiency and the formation of sensitized copper and electroless plated nickel NPs on the both boiled and sono-treated fabrics. The electrical resistivity of lower 1 廓 obtained on the fabric treated with both processing conditions however, the size of the sono-synthesized nickel NPs was smaller than boiled ones. Additionally, the thermogravimetric analysis and mechanical, antibacterial and magnetic properties of the sono-treated fabrics were studied reporting the great outcomes. The 12 emu/g saturation magnetization indicated noticeable improvement in the magnetic properties. However, ultrasonic power had an important role in the fabric treatment indicated the better conductivity along with magnetic features. These superb results can be noted for the vast feasible usage of the conductive/magnetic fabric in diverse fields of industries.
