  Abstract

Since the 1960s, our industry has experienced rapid modernization and risen to the level of advanced countries through a process of accelerated growth. However, alongside the increase in quality jobs, there has been a corresponding rise in industrial accidents. These accidents not only affect individual workers but also have broader implications for the local economy. Considering the current state of industrial accidents, it is difficult to achieve a perfect preparedness strategy. This study examines the issue from a detailed perspective, empirically analyzing the factors that influence the severity of disability among accident victims in an effort to mitigate the damage caused by industrial accidents. The analysis identified significant variables, including gender, age, health status, the number of workers at the site, the existence of a labor union, adherence to a 40-hour workweek, the use of protective equipment, overtime work, exposure to hazardous environments, access to first aid, and the time required for medical transfer. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective industrial safety measures.
