Abstract
In this study, cellulose microparticles were prepared by electrospraying. Cellulose pulp was dissolved in an ionic liquid at room temperature. The cellulose solution was electrosprayed under different processing parameters. The size of the resultant cellulose microparticles ranged from 5 to 10 μm. With increasing applied voltage, the size of the particles increased, and they had a smooth surface. The coagulation conditions affected the particle aggregation. The thermal properties of cellulose did not change as a result of electrospraying.
