PRESENTATION FORMATS

There are several different presentation formats available:

A paper abstract should provide a concise summary of the research objectives, theoretical framework, methodology, key findings (or expected findings), and conclusions. It should clearly indicate the contribution of the study to the field of extended education and youth development.

Each session will include 3 presenters, with 20 minutes allocated per presentation, followed by a 20-minute Q&A discussion.

2. Organized Symposia
An organized symposium is a 90-minute session coordinated by an organizer around a shared theme. It brings together multiple presenters to foster in-depth discussion, knowledge exchange, and critical dialogue related to the conference theme.

Organized symposia may include theoretical, empirical, or practice-oriented contributions and should allow sufficient time for discussion and audience engagement.
A symposium can include up to five participants, in addition to the chair. Participants include all presenters and any discussants.

Organized symposia are particularly welcome from:
  • National or regional organizations related to extended education
  • Practitioner groups (e.g., youth work, community education, afterschool program leadership)
  • Country or regional sessions showcasing policies, practices, or practices from specific contexts

Important submission information:

  • Please clearly indicate the symposium title for each abstract
  • Symposium proposals are submitted by an organizer, who may or may not serve as chair, presenter, or discussant
