  Abstract

With the advancement of human civilization and ongoing urbanization, changes in the natural environment have become increasingly evident, contributing to climate change. In the past, the impacts of climate change were difficult to perceive; however, over time, extreme weather events, such as heavy rainfall, have made these effects more tangible. Moreover, the increase in impervious surfaces due to urbanization disrupts the natural water cycle. The combination of extreme rainfall and the expansion of impervious areas has increased the frequency of urban flooding, posing a significant threat to public safety and underscoring the need for effective countermeasures. This study spans the past two years, during which several technologies were developed, including "CCTV Video AI Analysis Technology" and a "Prototype of Flood Water Level Measurement Equipment", followed by pilot tests. In the third year, the research shifted focus to operating the demonstration equipment, analyzing the data obtained, and conducting a field-oriented study to evaluate its applicability, performance, and potential for improvement. The research also presented strategies for selecting and inspecting measurement equipment locations, proposed improvement directions for the devices, and contributed to enhancing the "Flood Response System".
