Abstract

Practical simulation training in cybersecurity education is a crucial element in strengthening an organization's security posture. While various simulation training frameworks have been proposed, research on methodologies for creating educational malware needed for actual training has been insufficient. This study proposes a methodology for effectively creating educational malware for simulation training using ChatGPT. The proposed methodology has been verified through experiments for its efficiency and practicality. Notably, its accessibility for non-experts and characteristics that minimize conflicts with existing anti-virus products are evaluated as advantages that increase its applicability in actual educational environments. This study is significant in that it not only enhances the effectiveness of cybersecurity education but also provides practitioners with practical tools to improve their understanding of actual threats.
