Dear Members of the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences,
I would love to inform you that the Winter Conference of The Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS) will be held at Yongpyong Resort.
This event will be held both online and offline, and the offline event will be held safely in compliance with the government's quarantine guidelines. We are preparing an academic event with a variety of topics. I hope this will be a great opportunity to exchange a wide range of research.
For details, we are organizing various special sessions related to the latest ICT, starting with an invited lecture by Policy Development Office Vice President (Ph.D. in law) Sang Heon Lee. Samsung Electronics S.LSI Modem development team’s Executive Vice President Jeongwon Lee and world-renowned scholar Prof. Kai-Kit Wong (UCL,
UK, Editor-in-Chief of IEEE WCL) will give us lectures on the latest ICT development. In addition, we have special sessions from Samsung Research, Samsung Future Technology Development Center, and telecommunications societies. We organize special sessions on the 6G round table, 5G forum, ITRC, Junior Faculty meetings, and startups. To make this conference an unforgettable experience for students, the Haedong Best Papers will be awarded among the submitted papers, and an idea contest will be held to encourage the participation of undergraduate students.
In this 2023 KICS Winter Conference, all participants can watch and discuss various academic programs in real time, and the recorded contents will be provided for a certain period after the conference ends. We look forward to communicating in both online and offline spaces and hope that this year's conference will be a more lively and heated event than before. To this end, we ask for active participation from the members of the KICS.
Lastly, I would like to express gratitude to the members of the organizing committee and the secretariat of the KICS who willingly spent valuable time preparing for this year's winter conference, and hope that it will be a fruitful conference to communicate with the members of the society after a long time.
