Keynote Speech
Title: Beyond Tradition : Network of the Future
Speaker: Prof. Yanghee Choi (Seoul National University, Korea)

ABSTRACT
This talk will be divided into three parts. In the first one, a brief history of Internet is going to be discussed. In the second part, the new technical requirements identified by emerging new network applications will be explored, for example, bandwidth, latency, security, cost, etc. As the current Internet protocols, algorithms and business models do not easily accommodate the issues, changes in networks are inevitable. In the final part of the talk, a set of proposed solutions to the problem will be examined. It turns out that policy changes should accompany the technology improvements for the successful migration to the new network of the future.
